Tourism Strategy Brandenburg 2022+

Sources: The development of the Brandenburg Tourism Strategy 2022+ was initiated by the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Energy. The associated online dialog is a joint project of the Brandenburg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Energy and TMB Tourismus-Marketing Brandenburg GmbH. A consortium of consulting companies has been commissioned for the accompanying creation of the Brandenburg Tourism Strategy and is to be presented in spring 2023.

Background:
Tourism strategies have existed in the state of Brandenburg for many years. The last one was published in 2016.  However, the general conditions for tourism in Brandenburg have changed fundamentally since then.

This requires adapted strategies and concepts. For the further development of the Brandenburg tourism strategy, a publicly conducted dialogue in various formats takes place again and again in all phases of the creation.

The topics of the new tourism strategy are called future fields. They are intended to structure the thematic diversity of potentials, opportunities and challenges for tourism in Brandenburg as a recommendation for action.

Future field 1: Working in tourism
Future field 2: Ecological change
Future field 3: Quality of life & public welfare
Future field 4: Active regional development
Future field 5: Internationalization
Future field 6: Digital & Smart

The current work status of the orientation of these future fields is explained in more detail in this knowledge offer.
