What is the NextGen Hospitality Trophy? Under the Claim "Europe is your stage" the NextGen Hospitality Trophy is a competition in the hospitality industry and strengthens international cooperation in the hospitality sector, inspires the next generation of professionals in kitchen, service, hotel, and tourism management, and promotes intercultural competences.

The NextGen Hospitality Trophy is a transnational event that unites young people from the participating countries.
It is more than a competition – it is an exchange of skills, cultures, and ideas in the true spirit of Erasmus+: learning from each other, growing together, and building international friendships.

It connects the European Erasmus+ programme with the practical experiences of the participants in their vocational education and training and the vibrant team spirit of outsending organisations.

At its heart, the NextGen Hospitality Trophy is a championship with only winners: every participant gains new experiences, intercultural insights, and professional recognition. It is not about defeating others – it is about discovering own strengths, working in teams, and celebrating vocational excellence together under the Claim: „Living Excellence, inspired by Erasmus+“

Short test of theoretical knowledge at the championship days

In the first part of the competition, participants answer questionnaires with approximately 20 - 30 questions on their respective fields of expertise. Tthese questionnaires contain only multiple-choice questions with single or multiple response options.

The questions will cover the following areas of knowledge:

• Technical terms
• Technical calculations
• Product recognition
• Menu composition and corresponding beverages
• Culinary specialities and products
